Why have I stopped stalking my shadows (for now)?
Ever since the solar eclipse on April 8, I have been in a clearing process that has left me in a Void. A clearing of misaligned clients, lovers, friends, and patterns that have been keeping me stuck.
I recently shared my grief with my business coach, naming that I had become distant from certain friends. I felt like I could no longer tolerate the friendship dynamics that were built upon shared experience around processes of suffering and annihilation. It's not that I don't love to explore the deeper layers of my emotions and experiences, after-all, I am an enneagram type 4. It's more that my current practices have shifted me out of always being in a process into more welcoming of my desires . My coach reflected,
"Welcome to the side of the world where nothing is appealing about endless shadow diving and healing loops. Where creativity and prayer are a lot more interesting. Where "constantly difficult" is boring. Where light and easy is the goal!"
I trust that my shadows will naturally arise as I encounter life and when they do, I can practice noticing them, allowing them, and making a prayer for guidance to move through them. Instead of stalking them I can playfully meet them as they come out of hiding.
How do you want to meet the places that feel stuck, confused, painful even? I know one way that has tremendously shifted my relationship to life. Through making a prayer.
What is Monday Morning Prayer all about?
In case you haven't prayed with me or are new to this practice, my prayer space is not based on any religious orientation and does not require you to believe in a God. You can pray to whatever source of strength or power you choose. It could be the divine within, your highest self, God, Buddha, the plant spirits, Pachamama. Whatever you are feeling aligned with in that moment. It changes for me all the time!
Originally based on George Bertelstein's "a clear and simple prayer" this practice continues to evolve depending on who shows up in the group.
In our last group, we did rounds of naming what we are grateful for, what we are struggling with, and what we would like guidance with. At the end of each person's share we held space for a minute, envisioning them in the outcome they are desiring. It was incredibly powerful and shifted my energy for the entire day.
If you feel called to join, simply show up or reach out to me with any questions. I look forward to being with you in this sacred space.
With love,
Genesa
